Terms and Conditions
 Alpha Connect Day 2026

Sony Electronics (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., through its division company Sony South East Asia ("Sony") is responsible for this Alpha Connect Day (“Event”).

Sony reserves the right to cancel the Event and/or amend the terms and conditions of this Event (“Terms and Conditions”) at any time without prior notice.

Qualifying Entrants

1. The Event is open only to residents of Cambodia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Mongolia and Maldives. For the avoidance of doubt, foreigners living in Cambodia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Mongolia and Maldives with a local residential address may participate in the Event.
2. The Event will take place on different dates for each country. The relevant Event date for each country is as follows: 14th March 2026 for Bangladesh, 22nd March 2026 for Maldives, 28th March 2026 for Sri Lanka, and Mongolia, 29th March 2026 for Cambodia, 31st March 2026 for Myanmar.
3. Registration must be submitted via this online submission form. Any other forms of submission will not be accepted. Only Sri Lanka and Maldives are exempted from this condition.
4. Registration will close once the maximum number of sign-ups (as determined by Sony in its sole discretion) have been reached.
5. By registering for the Event, you agree to indemnify Sony against any and all claims in relation to your participation of this Event and breach of its Terms and Conditions contained herein. Sony’s rights are hereby expressly reserved.
6. Employees of Sony and its affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies of Sony together with their employees, and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each of the aforesaid persons are not eligible to participate in this Event.
7. Sony reserves the right to disqualify and/or exclude any entries from the Event, for any reason and for no reason, including without limitation, violation of any portion of these Terms and Conditions.

Events Rules

1. The Event is a competition that comprises three categories. Participants may select only one Event category for participation: “Photo” or “Video”.
2. Participants can use any brand of digital camera during the Event for the capturing of the photo or video submission (the “Submission”).
3. Participants using formats other than the Permitted Format (as defined below) must supply their own relevant adaptors / drives. Sony shall not be held liable for the inability to read / download images / loss of images.
4. All photo Submissions must be captured on the relevant Event date for each country.
5. Video Submissions may only be recorded once the theme is released 1 day before the relevant Event date for each country.
6. Each Participant is only allowed to submit one Submission.
7. Submissions must not be altered by any editing software.
8. Participants must submit their Submission personally. No proxy Submission by any participant is allowed during the event.
9. Sony will not be responsible for providing photographic equipment including camera, spare batteries, lenses or additional memory cards. All participants are expected to come prepared with all their photographic equipment.
10. No changes to a Submission will be allowed once the participant provides the Submission file to the organizers.
11. You shall hold Sony and all of its officers, directors and employees free and harmless from any liability arising from claims or suits of third parties, including costs and expenses incidental thereto, in connection with the Event.
12. Participants can use any brand of digital camera during the Event. Drones are not allowed.

Youth Photo Category

1. Participants age between 15 – 19 years old are eligible to participate.
2. Participants will receive photo theme on the relevant Event date for each country and will proceed to explore the area (no set location, participants are allowed to go anywhere to shoot at their own discretion).
3. Participants must submit their photo Submission 4 hours after the theme has been announced on the relevant Event date for each country.
4. All photographs submitted must be in JPEG format with EXIF data (a “Permitted Format”).
5. There is no limit on the file size.
6. Submitted photographs must not be altered by any editing software.

Photo Category

• Participants age 20 years and above are eligible to participate.
• Participants will receive photo theme on the relevant Event date for each country and will proceed to explore the area (no set location, participants are allowed to go anywhere to shoot at their own discretion).
• Participants must submit their photo Submission 4 hours after the theme has been announced on the relevant Event date for each country.
• All photographs submitted must be in JPEG format with EXIF data (a “Permitted Format”).
• There is no limit on the file size.
• Submitted photographs must not be altered by any editing software.

Video Category

• Participants will receive the videography theme 1 day before the relevant Event date for each country.
• Participants are not allowed to use any footage recorded before the release of the theme.
• Participants must submit their video Submission at the same time as photo category on the relevant Event date for each country.
• All videos submitted must be in XAVC S, XAVC HS, MOV, AVI format (the “Permitted Format”) and raw footage with EXIF data must be produced.
• Video resolution should not be higher than 1080p and aspect ratio should be 16:9.
• File size should not exceed 1GB.
• The length of the video must be 1 minute or shorter.
• Only the first 1 minute of the video will be judged if the video length is longer than 1 minute.
• Voice over, background music, basic cutting, basic transitions (Black and White Fade in, fade out, and cross dissolve transitions), combing of footage is allowed.
• Special effects and colour editing are not permitted.

Event Entries

• By registering for the Event, you (the “Participant”) thereby (a) specifically authorizes Sony to use and/or license third parties to use, without compensation, gain or rewards, a non-exclusive and irrevocable license to use, republish, edit and/or modify the Event entries in any media for marketing and promotional purposes which include but not limited to publication at Sony’s store; (b) represents and warrants that all elements contained in the Event entry (i) is original to the participant or fully cleared for use as contemplated herein, (ii) does and will not, in any way, violate or breach any of the terms of any other agreement the participant may be a party to, (iii) does not contain libelous, tortuous, or the publication or sale of which will violate any federal or state statute or regulation, (iv) is not obscene or in any other manner unlawful, and (v) shall not require Sony to pay or incur any sums to any person or entity as a result of Sony's use or exploitation of the same. You shall also indemnify and hold harmless Sony and its affiliates from and against any claim, action, damage, loss and costs and expenses (including legal fees and professional fees) arising from or in connection with any breach of the foregoing.
• The Participant with the winning submission (a “Winner”) shall agree to be contacted by Sony or its authorized representatives to participate in public relations events tied to the Event to generate press coverage of the Event and the accessories range. This may include, but not be limited to, quotes given for inclusion in press releases and press conferences, interviews, etc.
• Sony reserves the right to disqualify all entries that do not meet the rules and regulations of the Event. These include entries submitted with invalid or incorrect information.
• Unfair or unethical methods of participation may result in disqualification.
• Sony’s decision for all Winners is final.

Prizes

• Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash and may be subject to availability. Sony reserves the right to replace any prizes with items of similar value without prior notice.
• Acceptance of any prize shall constitute consent on the Winner's part to allow the use of the Winner's name, image, voice and/or likeness by Sony for editorial, advertising, promotional, marketing and/or other purposes without further compensation except where prohibited by law. Acceptance of any prize shall constitute a release and discharge of Sony by each Winner from any and all liability, claims, demands, causes of action, and/or damages which the Winner may have, whether known or unknown at the present time, of any nature whatsoever, arising out of or relating to: (i) the Event, (ii) personal injury and/or property damage, theft or loss suffered by the Winner as a result of the use and/or enjoyment of the prize, and/or (iii) any tax liabilities in relation to the Event, prize and/or use or enjoyment of the same.
• Results of all Winners will be announced on the following date:

• The winner must be present at the prize giving ceremony to personally collect their prizes. No representative is allowed to collect the prizes on behalf of the winner. All prizes will be forfeited if the Winner is not present at the prize giving ceremony to personally collect the prizes.
• Sony reserves the right to verify the identity and accuracy of the Submission.
• Subject to the terms and conditions herein, the Winners of the Event shall receive the corresponding below listed prize(s):

• In the event that any Winner is disqualified from the Event, Sony, at its sole discretion, may decide whether a replacement Winner should be selected. In this event, any further Winner will be selected on the same criteria as set out in the Terms and Conditions. Sony can repeat this process any number of times until it has selected a satisfactory Winner in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
• Sony’s decision regarding the award of all prizes, and/or in every situation including any not covered in these Terms and Conditions, shall be final and binding on all participants in the Event, and no queries, themes or appeals may be made or entertained regarding Sony’s decision on the same. The receipt by any Winner of any prize under this Event is conditional upon compliance with any and all applicable laws, rules and regulations.

Travel Prize Conditions

• The Winner of the Country Winner (Photo and Video) categories shall comply with the terms and conditions herein. Failure to comply may result in the disqualification from .
• All Prize redemptions are subject to any rules, requirements, policies or terms and conditions imposed by the operators (for example, accommodation providers, venues, tour or experience operator etc.).
• It is the Winner’s responsibility to:
  • arrange insurance including health and property insurance in connection with their travel to Singapore and participation in the prize;
  • assess their health needs and the appropriateness and personal risk of travel to any destination in Singapore; and
  • obtain all documentation and identification required for entry, departure and travel to Singapore. This includes a valid passport and all other travel documents including visas, permits and certificates.
• The Winner agrees and understands the following:
  • Not all activities and experiences may operate all days of the week;
  • The Winner may be required to redeem each component of the Prize individually with each operator at time of booking;
  • If the Prize involves an all expense paid trip for 1 to Singapore, the travel dates of the said trip shall be determined by Sony in its sole discretion (the trip is likely to occur in April 2026);
  • Prize components cannot be exchanged for goods or cash, nor can they be sold or otherwise transferred to any person;
  • The Winner is solely responsible for any and all travel or other out-of-pocket or personal expenses that fall outside the total prize value;
  • All additional meals, beverages, tips or any other extras not stated in the confirmed Prize package are the sole responsibility of the Winner;
  • If any part of a Prize is unavailable, for any reason (including unforeseeable or other special circumstances), Sony, in their absolute and sole discretion, reserves the right to substitute the Prize or any part of the Prize for a prize of equal value and/or specification; and
  • To the extent permitted by law, no compensation will be payable if, for any reason, the Winner is unable to use the Prize as stated.

Liabilities

• Sony cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the Event or as a result of entering the Event or accepting any prize. Sony is not responsible for any safe custody, return, non-delivery or missing of entries, late, misdirected, problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, telephone lines or at any app, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer or mobile telephone related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the Event.
• By entering the Event or accepting the prizes, you agree that no claim relating to such losses or injuries (including special, indirect and consequential losses) shall be asserted against Sony, its parent companies, affiliates, directors, officers, employees or agents from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind resulting from the Event and acceptance of any prize, including without limitation, personal injuries, death and property damage.
• By submitting the Event entries, you agree and warrant that you shall not submit any content (a) that is hateful, threatening, or pornographic; incites violence; or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence; (b) that violates any law, statute ordinance or regulation (including, but not limited to, those governing export control, consumer protection, unfair competition, anti-discrimination or false advertising); that is, or may reasonably be considered to be, defamatory, libelous, hateful, racially or religiously biased or offensive, unlawfully threatening or unlawfully harassing to any individual, partnership or corporation; (c) on behalf of any merchant or manufacturer, or for which you were compensated or granted any consideration by any third party; (d) that includes any information that references other apps, addresses, email addresses, contact information or phone numbers; or (e) that contains any computer viruses, worms or other potentially damaging computer programs or files.

Use of Personal Information

• Information - All information, including personal information (“Information”) provided to or known to Sony and/or its affiliates in connection with this Event will only be used for the purposes set out in and treated in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and those stipulated in the Privacy Policy of Sony at http://www.sony.com.sg/section/privacypolicy (“Privacy Policy”).
• Use of Information – In addition to those stipulated in the Privacy Policy, by entering the Event, you agree:
  • to the use of the Information, without compensation, for Sony’s promotional and marketing purposes; and
  • to the use of the Information, without compensation, for the purpose of administration in relation to the Event.
• Each individual participating to this Event acknowledges that in respect of any Information from her/him pursuant to this Site:
  • she/he is authorized to disclose such Information; and
  • such disclosure complies with any privacy legislation in any country, within the geographical scope of the Event, and Sony have the right to use such Information as contemplated by this Site (including, without limitation, the disclosure of such Information to Sony's external agencies or third parties).
• Provision of Information to Third Parties - We will not sell or otherwise transfer the Information to unaffiliated third parties without your approval. If applicable, you will have the opportunity to indicate whether you would like to "opt in" and/or “opt out” to receiving promotional and/or marketing information about other products, services and offerings from us and/or any third parties.
• . Analysis of User Behaviour - We reserve the right to perform statistical analyses of user behaviour and characteristics in order to measure interest in and use of the various areas of the Site and to inform advertisers of such information as well as the number of users that have been exposed to or clicked on their advertising banners. We will provide only aggregated data from these analyses to third parties. We are not responsible for any actions or policies of any third parties who request personal information, and you should check the applicable privacy policy of that party.
• Cookies - You should be aware that information and data may be automatically collected through the use of "cookies". "Cookies" are small text files a site can use to recognise repeat users and allow us to observe behaviour and compile aggregate data in order to improve the Site and to target its advertising. Cookies do not attach to your system and do not damage your files. If you do not want information collected through the use of cookies, there is a simple procedure in most browsers that allows you to deny or accept the cookie feature.
• Updating or Removing Information - You may notify us of any updates, amendments and corrections to previously collected Information by using the Feedback Form on the Data Protection Policy. Further, upon your request, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to delete your Information from our database. However, it may be impossible to delete your entry without some residual information because of backups and records of deletions.
• Changes to the Privacy Policy - We reserve the right, at any time, to modify, alter, or update the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer

• Please be advised that all materials posted on the Site are subject to public downloading by third party viewers. Sony has taken precautionary steps to deter users from downloading. However, should downloading persist, Sony shall not be held accountable or liable for any damages caused.

Miscellaneous

• Sony reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate or suspend this Event without any liability to you should there be unforeseeable events which in Sony’s absolute opinion may jeopardize the process of the Event.
• Sony reserves the right to amend/change the Terms and Conditions and the prizes without any liability to the participants.
• In the event of disputes regarding the Event or the Terms and Conditions of the Event, Sony shall have the right to make the final decision.
• The Terms and Conditions of this Event shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore.
